Scott E. Kirkorsky, M.D.

Dr. Kirkorsky currently serves as an Attending Psychiatrist at Quail Run Behavioral Health Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, where he lectures to trainees on the interaction of psychiatry and the law. He has presented locally and nationally on topics including psychopharmacology, suicide risk assessment, psychiatric assessment of threats to the President, and the role of psychiatrists in the criminal justice system. Dr. Kirkorsky has authored publications in peer-reviewed journals on topics including criminal responsibility, involuntary medication in competency restoration, jail-based competency restoration, and the management of individuals adjudicated not-competent and not-restorable. Dr. Kirkorsky serves as a psychiatric expert witness in civil and criminal matters including competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, testamentary capacity, fitness-for-duty, disability, psychic harm, civil commitment, standard-of-care, jail-based competency restoration, and violence risk assessment.


Please note that Dr. Kirkorsky is not currently accepting new patients for psychiatric treatment. However, Dr. Kirkorsky is available to perform forensic evaluations and to consult on matters involving psychiatry and the law.
